Found in the dust Covered in rust
Oh what a sight to behold But placed in the light
And held up just right
Sometimes what glitters is gold

What do you know Where do you go
Is sometimes not easily told
But look there's a crack
And light through the black
Cause sometimes what glitters is gold

Sometimes you believe and sometimes you're deceived cause the mind is uncertain and time is a thief
But then out of the grief comes sweet relief it unfolds that sometimes what glitters is gold

What doesn't kill you just makes you strong
A lie I was told as a child You got to have faith they Said but you don't
I lost some of mine for a while

But now it's returned
It was gifted, not earned
Found by the side of the road
It was not false but true
Now it's glittering too
