PressChristmas CD's are here!
ALL IS CALM: CHRISTMAS WITH MAUREEN HAWORTH CD's are now available on my website at www.MaureenHaworth.com in the store.
Here's what 'Absolutley Gospel' had to say about " It's Time"
Maureen Haworth was born in Canada’s Nanaimo, British Columbia and was one of four siblings. She and her husband, Rick, who was her childhood sweetheart, now make their home in Grand Forks in Southern British Columbia, Canada. Like many artists, Maureen grew up singing in the church choir and playing the piano and guitar.
Maureen writes most of her songs, seven of which she penned on this recording. Rick also writes, and she records his songs as well. This is her debut solo project. She feels extremely blessed to be able to mix her love of God with her love of singing and songwriting.
Starting off the project is a peppy, upbeat one: "Jesus Is Always There." "I Want What She’s Got" and "Am I Worthy" are a medium tempo songs along with "That’s What God Can Do." "God’s Goodness," "I’m Singin’ Jesus," "Breathe In My Direction," and "It’s All About Faith" are all peppy, up-tempo songs that you will be tapping your toes to.
The title cut, "It’s Time." has a 195’s sound while "He’s My Hope, My Rock" has more of a 1970s sound. Slowing it down is one entitled "Please Watch Over Me." Finishing up this project is a classic hymn "In The Garden."
This project is comforting to listen to since it is a good mixture of up-tempo and slow songs. You will hear Maureen pouring out her heart in each of the selections. Each song is uplifting, thought provoking and makes for a great collection of inspirational songs.
This is a 3 star recording. If you like country gospel along with the southern style, you will find this CD is definitely one for your collection. Her hope is that her music will touch people.
