G'Jai Marlene might be new to the scene but she’s no stranger to the stage. She is a Detroit, MI native and performing has been in her blood from a very early age. Whether its public speaking, dancing, or acting the stage is where she belongs. G'Jai has performed with various bands as a guest vocalist until she branched out on her own in 2009.

G'Jai has become one of the hottest new blues artists coming out of Detroit. This sho' ain't your standard "cookie cutter" type of blues she's puttin' down! The vocals are "raw and gritty" and the music is "off the cuff" and "from the heart"! She's serving you the blues with a whole lotta SASS!
