On Dale Ann Bradley’s latest Pinecastle Records recording simply titled Dale Ann Bradley, she has once again self-produced a musical gem. She is co-writer on the gorgeous leadoff track and single “Southern Memories,” which is sure to become one of the favorite tracks on the album. The album continues with haunting tunes in minor keys, traditional grass, and gospel tunes. She teams up with Vince Gill for a duet on “I’ll Just Go Away” and with Steve Gulley, Debbie Gulley, and Vic Graves for a gospel quartet on “Stand by Me.” A look at the personnel listing in the liner notes will immediately point out the depth of the talent pool that Bradley has drawn from on this recording. Each track on the album could stand on its own but Bradley has put them together in such a way that begs the listener to absorb the album in its entirety. With this new self-titled album Dale Ann Bradley once again provides a gift for bluegrass fans everywhere.
