"That’s What Christmas Is To Me"is an original contemporary Christmas song by singer/songwriter John M. Many think it is destined to become a Christmas standard.

Originally released on John’s CD "Still Here," the single and accompanying video were released later in ’98. The video has gotten regional TV airplay every year since, and is getting increasing amounts of internet exposure.

About writing the song, John M says, "I tried for a number of years to write a song and couldn't come up with anything I liked. Then I moved to Nashville and was invited to an evening of all Nashville songwriters performing original Christmas songs. I thought 'This'll be great! I’ll be inspired!' Most of the songs were good, but most were the same old country songs about lost love and drinking alone and whatnot, just set against a Christmas background. "Missing you this Christmas," and that sort of thing. I came away thinking, 'None of these people are really writing about Christmas!' So that's what I set out to do. So I guess I was inspired after all. Enjoy!"
